Family Finder

KLM

Overview

To celebrate the airline’s birthday KLM has launched Family Finder, a tool that aims to help people rescue or create connections in different parts of the world. The user will find out where there is a higher incidence of his surname, by percentages, and will also be able to take advantage of offers for these destinations by flying KLM.

Details

Role: Senior User experience
Company: Ogilvy & Mather agency
Client: KLM
Project: Family Finder

My role

I was the main senior UX design responsible for the role project.
We did research, review the algorithm and prototyped.

Main tasks

1.Understand the percentage and associations of different cultures
2. talk to some people that suited our audience
3. find together with developers an algorithm to bring our idea to life
4. design the website and APP interface ensuring usability with the business need

The Solution

To find out in which countries people with the surname are present, just enter the surname. On the next screen, on a world map, appears the classification of countries that such surname focuses most. After that, just click on the country you want to know, select the city of origin in Brazil and buy the ticket to that destination operated by KLM.
